Workplace giving

Become an Animal Hero! through RSPCA’s Workplace Giving program

Workplace giving is a program where employees can donate to charitable causes, through automatic payroll deductions. At RSPCA Australia, we have a national Workplace Giving Program called Animal Heroes. This means that if you choose to support RSPCA through Workplace Giving, we’ll provide national and state-based relationship management, animal office visits, impact reporting and a suite of resources to promote the program through your internal channels.

Workplace Giving has a huge impact in helping animals

Good for Australian animals

As a not-for-profit organisation, we receive less than 10% of ongoing revenue from government, and therefore we rely on generous support from the community and businesses to carry out our important and life-saving work. Our Workplace Giving program significantly helps the RSPCA care for over 87,000 animals a year. When just 20 employees donate $5 a week annually, this helps 22 dogs become ready for rehoming by the RSPCA - imagine the impact you can make!

Good for your employees

RSPCA’s Animal Heroes Workplace Giving Program can provide several benefits for employees:

  • Tax benefits: Donations made through workplace giving are deducted directly from an employee's pre-tax salary.
  • Convenience: Workplace giving allows employees to contribute regularly through payroll deductions.
  • Matching contributions: Many employers offer matching programs where they match employee donations, effectively doubling the impact of their contribution.
  • Community engagement: Participating in workplace giving fosters a sense of community and shared values among employees, promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Support for animal welfare: Contributions to programs like Animal Heroes support vital services for animals in need, allowing employees to feel a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their giving.
  • Recognition and engagement: Employees who participate may receive recognition from their employers, enhancing their connection to the company and the causes they support.

Overall, Workplace Giving not only provides financial benefits but also enriches employees' lives by aligning their charitable efforts with their workplace culture.
