This month 1,654 Australian sheep and 165 Australian cattle died on route to the Middle East while aboard the MV Ocean Drover. The very same ship that saw 2,280 animals die on it during a similar voyage back in 2002. Back then it was known as the MV Becrux, it may have had a change of name but this ship is still getting up to its old tricks. It’s just one vessel among many that have repeatedly caused suffering to Australian animals for the past THIRTY years.
