The RSPCA is urging all drought-affected farmers who need help with their animals to reach out for support.
The increasing frequency and length of droughts in Australia have significant and lasting effects on the land, the people whose livelihoods depend on the land and the farm animals in their care.
To prevent animals starving to death or dying of thirst, difficult decisions about whether to feed, agist or sell animals must be made sooner rather than later.

For support or advice, farmers should contact their state/territory department of primary industries (ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA).
