The Labrador cross puppy, dumped in a bin at Bolivar in May last year, has found a loving
new home.
RSPCA (SA) Chief Inspector Simon Richards said the 9 month old has been officially adopted
by his foster carers Veterinarian Kym Sutherland and his wife Kate.
“The puppy has fully recovered and can look forward to a bright future,” he said.
“I’m told he’s very happy and is showing no signs of his traumatic ordeal.”
The puppy was one of three dumped in a sealed plastic bag at the Caltex Service Station on
Port Wakefield Road on Friday, May 18.
His littermates did not survive. A post mortem revealed they had sustained head injuries.
The puppy is now a healthy 11 kilograms.
“The RSPCA remains committed to finding the person who committed this callous crime,”
Mr Richards said.
“All it takes is one small piece of information. These cases are never closed, and if we find
the person responsible, they will face up to two years behind bars or a $20,000 fine.
“We encourage anyone with information to contact the RSPCA. All information will be
treated confidentially.”
