Donations made to the RSPCA today will be doubled, thanks to the generous support of national partners Peter Alexander and Elanco.

The RSPCA’s annual ‘Give to Get Them Home’ appeal helps care for the thousands of animals across the country who come through the RSPCA’s doors, especially as we head into the busiest months of the year for our shelters.

RSPCA Australia CEO Richard Mussell said that the RSPCA relies on the support of members of the community to help continue its live-saving work.

“There’s no question, we couldn’t do what we do without the generous support of the community,” said Mr Mussell.

“Every year, the RSPCA cares for more than 124,000 animals in need through our shelters alone. The support of the animal-loving community and our national partners helps keep our shelter doors open and our inspectors on the road.

“There’s no question that this past 18 months has been difficult for everyone, and that just makes us even more grateful for the support that we get.

“Today, on Give to Get Them Home day, we’d like to say a special thank you to our national partners Peter Alexander and Elanco, for pledging to match the community's support.

“This is an extraordinarily generous commitment, and one that will help amplify the benefit of donations from the community.”

Donations will be doubled for one day only, today (Thursday 7 October).
