RSPCA ACT is disappointed to announce that its Benefit Concert scheduled for 14 February has been cancelled.  The event was expected to raise much needed funds for the organisation.  Unfortunately due to lack of ticket sales, it was not feasible to hold this event.

Chief Executive Tammy Ven Dange expressed her disappointment, “We had hoped that the community would get behind this first time fundraising event. We must find a way to bring in additional funds to care for the more than 7000 animals we see every year.  Therefore, the public will continue to see us try new fundraising events in the future because we cannot afford to do business as usual.”

RSPCA ACT is grateful to its special event sponsors: PetBarn, Mix 106.3, Canberra Weekly, The National Convention Centre, Elite Sound & Lighting, Crowne Plaza Canberra and Leader Security for their ongoing support.

All paid ticket holders will be contacted soon for full refunds.  Ticket holders who have won or purchased their tickets will also be offered a special tour of the RSPCA Shelter in Weston to thank them for their support even though the concert was cancelled.
