RSPCA ACT is full to capacity with cats and kittens, and are offering half-price adoptions this week to try to help this critical state.  According to records, the shelter has 100% more cats and kittens in care right now compared to last year at this time.

Tammy Ven Dange CEO says, “We believe this is partially attributed to the milder winter last year which has extended the breeding season.  Unfortunately, we are literally out of space now, and overcrowding is a big concern since putting too many animals in one space increases their chance for illness.  We must find them homes quickly!”

There are a total of 82 cats and 178 kittens currently in care at the shelter in Weston or in foster care. There is just NO MORE ROOM at the shelter, and we need Canberrans to help right now to find them homes!

From now until Saturday, animal lovers can adopt any of our purrfect cats and kittens for half the regular adoption price! Each cat and kitten are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated – ready for you to take home and love! So please visit 12 Kirkpatrick Street, Weston. We’re open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Please pop in this week if you are looking for your next furry companion! We have such a range of breeds and personalities, there is bound to be a kitty to suit your lifestyle.
