RSPCA Australia has today thanked TEG Dainty for nominating the animal welfare charity as one of the organisations to benefit from the upcoming FireFight Australia concert at ANZ Stadium on Sunday 16 February.
Funds received through this concert will be distributed to the state and territory RSPCAs that are impacted by the fires, responding to emergencies, helping members of the public to keep their animals safe, providing much-needed equipment and supplies, or helping provide emergency care and boarding where available.
The RSPCA is working alongside government and emergency agencies, veterinarians and local authorities, in multiple locations across the country, including commencing the difficult job of entering fire affected areas once fires have passed to identify and assess injured animals.
The RSPCA, on behalf of affected animals around the country and its staff and volunteers, would like to thank TEG Dainty and all Australians who have bought tickets to this event so far, and who continue to generously give to the RSPCA National Bushfire Appeal.
