Bendigo Bank customers have helped raise $2 million to power the national RSPCA Adoptapet website since its inception in 2005.

From dogs and cats to birds, horses and pocket pets, the Adoptapet website is a vital tool in connecting animals in need with Australians across the country.

RSPCA Australia CEO Heather Neil said the generous support of Bendigo Bank customers that hold an RSPCA Rescue VISA credit card has been invaluable.

“The support of Bendigo Bank customers has been vital in ensuring the continuing work of the RSPCA and the functionality and reach of the Adoptapet website,” said Ms Neil.

“The RSPCA relies heavily on the Adoptapet website to list all animals currently searching for their forever home, since the site’s inception the RSPCA has rehomed more than 256,500 animals.

“Adoptapet.com.au has had more than 15.8 million visitors since 2007 so it’s an incredibly popular tool for anyone looking for a new pet,” Said Ms Neil.

Bendigo Bank’s Head of Access and Payments Michael O’Shea said the Bank was proud of all its customers who had supported the RSPCA over the past nine years.

“We look forward to working with our customers to help many more animals find their forever homes in the years to come,” Mr O’Shea said.
