The RSPCA’s highly anticipated annual “Give to Get Them Home” appeal is back today, with donations made to the RSPCA doubled thanks to generous matching partners.

This 24-hour, high-energy, digital ‘telethon style’ appeal is set to bring together a passionate community of animal lovers and high-profile matching partners — including Royal Canin, Elanco and Peter Alexander — to make a life-saving impact for animals in need.

During the 2022 appeal, the RSPCA witnessed an incredible show of support, with more than 11,200 people raising over $2.3 million. This year, the RSPCA is proud to partner with Royal Canin, Elanco, and Peter Alexander, who are generously matching donations for the 24-hour period.

“The Give to Get Them Home appeal is a testament to the incredible compassion and generosity of our community of animal lovers,” said RSPCA Australia CEO Richard Mussell.

“Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of animals who need our help.”

The funds raised during Give to Get Them Home support the RSPCA’s ongoing efforts across the country caring for animals in need. Every year, the RSPCA cares for over 94,000 animals, including more than 19,000 dogs, 35,000 cats, and 40,000 other animals.

Additionally, every year the RSPCA investigates over 53,000 animal cruelty complaints, again highlighting just how critically important the community’s contributions are.

“We are dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals and providing them with the care, protection and love they deserve. The Give to Get Them Home appeal allows us to continue this important work and bring attention to the thousands of animals in need, especially as we head into the busiest time of the year,” said Mr Mussell.

“We invite the public to visit our website, explore the inspiring stories of animals we’ve helped, and join us today for this incredible event. Your support can make a world of difference for animals in need, and doubly so thanks to the generous support of our national matching partners,” he said.
